Landing a couple of good shots with the wrong type of ammo will often negate the effectiveness of your Shells regardless of how clean your shots have landed. Knowing which type of ammo to use in World of Warships will help even the newest players increase the total amount of damage they deal in a 20-minute match.Īiming in World of Warships is already difficult as it is. Aircraft Carrier Citadels are easy to hit from both vertical and horizontal angles. The lack in HE DPM and AP penetration was just too painful, and the radar paired with the good DPM and amazing AP power easily make up for the torpedoes and armor.

To deal maximum damage to enemy Aircraft Carriers, AP Shells are once again the way to go. Personally, i chose the USN cruisers over the german cruisers.Against similar Battleships, use AP Shells when the Battleship is more or less at broadside ( less chance of richochet, or the Shells bouncing off of enemy Battleship armor) Use HE Shells when they are at a tougher angle ( HE Shells do not ricochet regardless of the target’s angle).Well placed AP Shells against Cruisers can eliminate them in one Salvo. The improved armor plating of Cruisers mean that they are less prone to Overpenetration unlike the Destroyer-class warships. Against Cruisers, AP rounds are the way to go.Battleships should use HE rounds when the target is a Destroyer ( since AP rounds will only Overpenetrate Destroyer Armor).Your AP shells should not be forgotten, particularly at closer ranges vs enemy cruisers. Edit: if you take the hydro you can take advantage of your own smoke without worrying about torpedos too much. Your AA is good, not the best but each RING has 100 plus damage (like 130 each give or take a few points), you will shred enemy aircraft, and you have a unlimited def AA as noted above if you feel you need extra punch. I even lay smoke for my teammates sometimes. I stick with my team, bully enemy DDs that get too close, Use the floaty firing archs of those 127mm guns to arch over islands. Unlimited Def AA consumable or a Hydro search.īut what about the very limited range of the main guns? What was it, 11 kilometers or so? Don't you take a lot of damge before you are finally in range to hit back? Just curious how you deal with it, as i was considering getting her too.

Its a Atlanta which trades its Radar for a Smoke screen. Bought it for coal recently and its quite fun. Originally posted by jbwjr:Well the Flint is a nice option.
